Clinical Expertise

Dr. Thomas Milisits is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who brings a compassionate, patient-first approach to care. He specializes in sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, and trauma, with a focus on helping patients return to the activities they love — whether that’s running a marathon or chasing after grandkids.

Originally from Westchester, NY, Dr. Milisits completed his undergraduate studies at Fairfield University before earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. During medical school, he also earned a Master of Public Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, reinforcing his dedication to patient-centered care and population health.

He completed his surgical residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and pursued advanced fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at Premier Orthopaedics with Dr. Jason Miller.

Dr. Milisits treats each patient as he would a member of his own family — with honesty, empathy, and a focus on long-term outcomes. He stays active in research and publishing, always seeking the latest evidence-based treatments to improve care.

Outside of the operating room, you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors with his fiancée and their two dogs, or catching a baseball or football game.
