Sean Petersen, PT, DPT, CSCS, is a physical therapist who combines a detail-oriented and analytical approach with sincerity, empathy, and patient-centered care. He is committed to lifelong learning and professional development, earning certifications in Functional Dry Needling (FDN), Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Education and patient independence are central to Sean’s treatment philosophy. He believes in empowering individuals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to continue progressing outside of the physical therapy clinic and achieve long-term success. He integrates current research and innovative treatment strategies into his sessions while maintaining a strong foundation in evidence-based practice. He particularly enjoys incorporating manual therapy into treatment sessions and emphasizes individualized care tailored to each patient’s unique goals and needs.

Sean was born in South Dakota, spent five years in Pittsburgh, and grew up in Nebraska. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2022. He met his wife through mutual friends and moved to Wayne in 2024 to join her.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys traveling, hiking, and photography. He leads an active lifestyle and can often be found playing hockey, running, or lifting weights. He is an avid Notre Dame, Penguins, and Steelers fan. A self-proclaimed foodie, he also enjoys exploring new restaurants and breweries. Above all, he values time spent with family and friends and centers his life around his faith.
