Premier Orthopaedics Welcomes New Physician, Mark Allan Schwartz, M.D.

New physician joins staff at Premier’s Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Center Division
Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Center, a division of Premier Orthopaedics, has been providing quality care to patients for over 30 years. This division of Premier includes five orthopaedic surgeons, a physiatrist, podiatrist and a sports medicine physician, with four office locations.
Dr. Schwartz, a native of North Jersey, graduated from Chicago Medical School after completing his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan. He then went on to do his orthopaedic residency at JPS hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Currently he acts as the team physician for Pottstown High School and Valley Forge Christian College in addition to treating injured athletes from many local elementary thru college level schools.
Dr. Schwartz joins the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Center after spending the last 6 years practicing in Pottstown, Pa. He is currently on staff and operates at Pottstown Memorial Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, and Paoli Hospital (as well as associated surgery centers). He will be seeing patients at the Collegeville, Phoenixville and Pottstown office locations. Dr. Schwartz is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and a member of the AAOS.
He has a specialized interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder including tendon, ligament (ACL), and cartilage repair/reconstruction. Dr. Schwartz also performs joint replacement of the knee, hip, and shoulder.
